Well,i thought it was about time i posted to my blog! Hi and welcome:O)

Recently i have been following a pair of Whitethroats after coming across a nesting pair by chance the other week. I spent a fair bit of time watching them so i could work out their routines. They are quite a curious bird and will often appear on a prominant perch to check you out but this pair were to busy bringing beakloads of grub back to the nest to be bother about looking at me! They seemed happy to carry on and i was happy not to disturb them, this paid off as i soon had them within range for the 500mm.  Here is one of the adults with a tasty treat in her beak. 



I went back to see them the next day and had some nice close views of them . Here is the male having a closer look at me!

I quite liked this frame, the colours and lichen on the branches and the bird nice and clear in the composition. That can be very tricky with this species. Patience is key! More in my next post coming soon.
